Great gift idea: Kito Cigar Humidor / Jewelry Box

This is a great gift idea for your significant other.  This might take a while but is well worth getting a memorable gift in the end.

Kito Cigar Humidor

Kito Cigar Humidor

What I did was take a Kito Cigar Humidor and converted it into a jewelry box.  The Kito comes with a removable divider and a humidity gage.  I took a Kito Humidor and lined it with red velvet.  To give it a personal touch, I took things that my girl and I did together or items that were memorable to us and turned it into a collage.  Every time you go out to eat, you can slide a pack of matches in your pocket.  Keep your movie stubs and concert tickets.  Or anytime you do something together, like take a road trip or funny moment you take a lil something that reminds you of that add it to the collage.

After collecting the enough things and arranging them in the right order.  I then took rubber cement and glued them to the top of the back top of the box.  I then used "Golden gel mediums / soft gel (gloss)" to give it a covering layer and glossy finish.

Kito Humidor / Jewelry Box

I chose the Kito for its fine quality and craftsmanship.  These Humidors are actually hard to find and are not sold everywhere.  I bought mine at this great head shop Cigarillos.  Whats great is that it is still a working humidor so this could be a sexy gift for your cigar smokers as well.  Another great lookin humidor with a more classic look is a Savoy.  These things are not cheap.  You will be looking at spending around $350 for one of these humidors.  If you are looking to not spend as much.  You can always opt for a cool looking cigar box or something like that.  The main thing is the content of your collage rather then the box.  But Kito makes a damn sexy jewelry box, plus you can alway use it as a humidor.

Ahhh.. Good ol Centro Fly drink tickets!  Man I miss that place!  The last good club with great music every week!  Man, those were the days!  I had many good memories from there.  I promoted with GBH every Friday for years.  I have flyers or a lil something from every party that I have ever attended, worked on or DJed.  I am eventually going to make a huge something with all of them once I retire from the nightlife industry.  Not sure what..... Some sort of art collage like what I did with the Kito.

I will add a picture of my pile of flyers later.........

Here ya go.. I just threw them on the bed and spread them out a lil... there are so many under those that you can see as well.

Flyer's from events that either I attended, organized or Djed.

Man! I see some great parties in there!  I can't wait to finish the collage.  So many fun memories.......
